  • I-130 Processing Times

    Hi,
My spouse (permanent resident) filed I-130 for me to USCIS Phoenix Lockbox in November, 2011. The decision wasn't made until we moved to New York in October, 2012. We requested USCIS for change of address to New York in October, 2012. My concerns are:
    1. How long does Phoenix office take to decide a case? Shouldn't our case decision be made within one year?
    2. Will change of address to New York delay our decision further?
    3. When can I hear to have my decision?
    4. Will my priority date change by changing the address? My files might be moved to Chicago Lockbox after changing address.
    5. My spouse can file for citizenship in September, 2013. Can I file for Green card at the same time of filing citizenship? even if I-130 decision is still pending?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Anyone have any idea why the processing time is very slow? or is it just normal?
    Thanks.

      That's normal.

i130 form for unmarried child of a greencard holder

I am a 27 year old unmarried man. My mum is a permanent resident and lives and works in the USA. My question is that if she fills out the i130 form, can I still travel to the US during the long waiting time or I will need to wait for several years in my country without visiting her in the USA? I dont mean moving to the US during the processing time just visiting her during that plenty of years. And what do you think is my estimated processing time? I am a Hungarian and I travel with the visa waiver program every year to visit her. Actually I have a special disability, I dont have a right arm since my birth. Does it provide me any priority for the processing time or any other chance to get my green card sooner? Thank you very much for the answers.
