Medical delay of one family member

First time posting here, so please be gentle.

My family has the interview coming up next week, but one family member has failed the medical (an 8 week sputum test is required to prove that TB is not present).

Will this delay the visa for the whole family or just for that family member? Or, if worst comes to worst, will they outright reject our application?

I advise you to talk to the US Embassy in your country (if consular processing) and inform them about that family member, if yours is based on I-485 then talk or write to the USCIS about that family member.

The rest of the family members will not affected by the case of that family member whose medical exam is delayed.
