Recapturing F4 priority date

I am on a Green card about 2 years away from when I can apply for US citizenship. My mom is in India, for whom I would like to immigrate to US. My understanding is that once I become a citizen, I can apply for her GC which would take another few years for approval. The F1 category is at 01APR06 for India. My fear is in the next few years it would retrogress even further once the immigration bill is passed.

My moms 3 siblings are US citizens. They are willing to apply for her immigration application but the F4 category currently shows as 01MAY01. Is there any way for me to enter her in the waiting line by applying for her under F4 category and then recapturing the date when I can apply for her under F1 category.

Is there any other option for a shorter wait in processing.

Recapturing F4 priority date

Once you become a citizen, your mother is exempt from any quota. You can apply for her GC immediately and she gets it in the basis of immediate relative. So she should get it in a few months time depending if you proceed with AOS or consular processing. You have no way of putting her in F4 processing right now.

Thanks Ravi. Does that mean there is no point for her to start a F-4 application. We just wait another 2 years and apply after my citizenship and she get her GC without any significant waits.
