I-864 Tax returns with intending immigrant (Me)

Hi Immihelp experts,

I apologize if this is a re-post but I could not find a clear answer to my question. After giving up waiting for my EB2 based application, my wife and I plan to file a marriage based GC application. We have been married for 2 years. She is an American citizen and I'm on H1-B visa.

My question is specific to Question 25 of form I-864 regarding Federal Income Tax Return information. My wife had an income for the first year and half but is currently a housewife and does not have income. We are planning to show our joint income as sufficient for supporting us. We have filed jointly for the past 2 years of marriage. The question 25 reads:

" I've filed a Federal Tax Return for each of the most recent three years. I've attached required photocopy or transcript my Federal tax return for the most recent year.

My total income (adjusted gross income on IRS form 1040EZ) as reported on my Federal tax returns for the recent three years was:"

Are they asking for her (individual) Adjusted Gross Income or our joint AGI ? It looks like they would be interested in the total (joint) income but the language makes it slightly unclear.

Her income is her income and that is what they are asking here.

It is possible to use your income too.
