I-130 pending but met someone. Advice please!

Hi there,

I'm a 29 year old unmarried British citizen. 2 years ago my US citizen dad applied for residency for me, and it's still in initial review. If I check it on the USCIS website, it's showing a 39 month wait for the California service centre. Is this in total or from now?

I'm currently in the states on a B2 visitor's visa seeing my Dad and stepmom, and I met a guy here and we've fallen head over heels for each other. We've talked about getting married but I just don't know what the best thing to do is. Would I have to withdraw my current petition and get him to apply for me as a fiancée?

I would greatly appreciate any advice please. Thank you!

No need to withdraw the petition. Your fiancee can file a K1 petition for you with no problem.
