IV status stuck as Ready?

I have filled I130 for my father who is 68 years old!! He had his interview on July 8th, 2013. But he was given green slip at the interview for visa denial under 221g. At Islamabad. Pak. On July 16, 2013 status updated as ready and its still the same..! What does it mean and how long would it stay the same! Msg says "

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:

You have to wait until the status changes to "Issued".

Unfortunately admin processing has no time limit. All you can do is wait.

"Ready" is supposed to be the status before you're interviewed after the interview has been scheduled. Since you finished already your interview then your case must be under AP.

You can apply but the question is will it be approved ? What was written in the 221g green slip ?

The movement in date means somebody looked at the case. You should write the embassy just to know what's going on.
