How to get SSN fast-need advice

Hi everybody!
Me and my kids(18 and 14 years old) have imigration visas in our passports and we going to travel and live in USA. I have checked that I request a SSN in my ds-230 form. Should I go to SS Administration and file for SSN, or I have to vait till they send me SSN? Which is fastest way to get SSN? Does somebody have some expiriens with this procedure?

You should get your SSN card within Three weeks after your arrival. If you don't receive SSN card in three week, go to nearest SSN office to inquire/apply.
