Dad passed away as an American citizen, can his children apply?

My dad recently passed away, he was a dual citizen (Sweden and USA.
He left behind inheritance both in Sweden and USA. I would like to further understand the USA part, the property, his citizenship etc. For example, we would love to keep the property in the states and if possible his companies, but myself not being American citizen is that even possible?
Can I apply for a green card and if so, which type? Is it possible to apply for a family entry even though my dad recently passed?
