Hi,
I'm married to a US citizen, she has lived there all her life, has a full time job and a place for us to live. I am from the UK. We intend to obtain a green card through marriage but need help with a few things.
1. If my wife files Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, does it matter if I am in the US at the time or at home in the UK?
2. Is it better for me to travel to the US on my 90 days passport tourist visa and then begin the process by submitting both the I-130 and Form I-485 what is known as concurrent filing?
3. While either process has begun am I still able to visit on my UK passport for my 90 days?
The process is costly enough and we don't want to pay for visa help through firms or lawyers because they just take too much. Our biggest fear is being kept apart for any longer than we need to. Currently we're flying back and forth and this is expensive and very hard emotionally. I'm sure people on here understand how hard it is to be apart from their loved ones.
Please, please help. I will be eternally grateful.
Thanks
Justin
