Hello,

I am US Citizen and have question about sponsoring family member. I am single.

If I do affidavit of support for my mother IN OCTOBER-2013, it is going to be household size of 2 and income requirement of $ 19,387 (125% poverty line). I am still single.

If I get married to a girl living in India IN NOVERMBER-2013 and do affidavit of support for my wife IN NOVEMBER-2013, it is going to be household size of 3 and income requirement of $ 24,412 (125% poverty line).

Now for example my MOTHER is going through final consular processing and visa interview IN DECEMBER-2013 and my mother says we are 3 household size (because now I have wife), at that time during interview which income requirement for my MOTHER'S APPLICATION will be considered? Will it be $ 19,387 or 24,412?

Any detail will be appreciated.

You r not file AOS for your wife in November bcoz first u file i-130 for your wife then after six month your case approved then nvc ask u for pay AOS BILL & submit form i-864

You can show assests, bank funds cash for your wife in future. 20k in bank is good enough to make up difference.
