Multiple I-485 Employement based to family based

I have previously applied NIW (NATIONAL INTEREST WAIVER) EB2 based green card and its under process until approved which will be 2-3 years from now. Meanwhile I applied 130/485 based on US citizen sponsor for which I interviewed last week. I was approved but IO said he is waiting for A file to be transferred to his office before he issues green card. I discuss with my lawyer and he said wait for two weeks then we will call them. I have questions.
I read some talks on the forum that I have to authorize cancelation of my previous application before my file can be transferred, Is that true and what I can do to expedite the process?

Its been a month since we had our interview, we confirmed office got A file on 10/17 but still no decision yet Officer said everything in the system appears to complete so a decision should come in 10 days.
What could be the possibilitis? Should I wait more or get infopass?
