  • Travel after entry

    Hi,

I would like some advice on travel plans. My parents will be appearing for their interview and then they are planning to come to US in a few week thereafter.
I understand that they will need to get their visa at port of entry, which I plan to be LA, California. I live in a different state.

I was planning for their stay in CA for 2-3 months to visit my relatives and then come to my place.

Is there any risk and restriction in doing so or do they have to come to me before they can travel anywhere in US?

    Please advise.

    Thanks.

I don't see any problem with this. They can enter from anywhere and live anywhere in the US.

Thanks. I did not find any specific information either, but just wanted to double check since at the port of entry, the officer may ask why you are not directly going to your son first. You never know what they may use to deny if they want to.
