Greencard for my son 23yrs old not married

Hello everyone, there is so much information here it makes my head spin and I am not really sure what is the right one for me.
I am a US Citizen but currently living in Germany. My son who is 23 wants to live in the US once he finishes his German Army time and join the police states side that is his dream.

Being a mom I want to help him. Can anyone tell me how long it takes from fileing to granting the green card for my son?
