  • Marriage visa if you haven't lived together

Let's say I am already married to an American.

I live in the UK, and she lives in the US.

We've been married 2 years, but have never lived together. We have some shared holidays, and that's it.

Would it be possible to get in on a marriage visa, say, IR-1...?

I know that there are requirements, to show that it's a real marriage, such as, birth certificates of children, shared holidays, shared tenancy, shared property ownership, affadavits etc.

And my question is... would a shared holiday and some affadavits of relatives saying, oh yeah, they're really married... like, would that work?

file the I-130 take 9-12 months,
requirements for real marriage yes, marriage cert, and whatever you deem necessary, but after 2 years you will have enough evidence.
about the Ir-1 visa you file a I-130 and at the POE they will determine if it id CR-1 or IR-1 the requirement is the day the spouse enters the US if they have been married 2 years then they will stamp Ir-1 and process as such if not then CR-1 and process as such. all other requiremetns are same.
