My wife is a naturalized citizen. She wants to apply for a green card for her son. He lives in Brazil but has a 'visitor's visa' in hand good for a six minth stay. Can he apply for a green card while he is visiting? Where would the interview take place? Does anyone have any idea of time and whethre this can be done this way. Any help would be very appreciated.

If the son is 21 or older, an Adjustment of Status (for a Green Card) could not be started for about 7 years. If the son is married, the waiting period would be abot 10 years.
Regardless, your wife should submit an I-130 immigrant petition for the son.
