  • Very Long Pending after interview

Hi! I had my I-485 Interview in LA field office in September 2013. We had separate interview. All the process lasted about 2 hours. In the end IO said that unlikely we'll be scheduled for the second interview, smiled and shacked my hand giving me a notice saying that my case is being held for review and decision will be made within 120 days (whereas the other stories all over USA have an average term of 60-90 days). So 4 months have passed and no response. I called NCSC and they said the same with what I can see on-line when checking my status myself. What is the reason for USCIS to hold cases for SO long? If they suspect something why don't they undertake any other steps such as visiting home or the second interview? I would even prefer to know that my case is denied cause at least I would know what to do. But waiting for more than 4 months without any moves is so uncomfortable for us!? I can't feel I am normal resident to live normal life and my wife is worrying for me as well. Did anybody have the same situation?

Hi! Have you received your greencard yet? I also had my interview on April 16th 2014. We got interviewed separately and after the interview we were told that we should expect a reply by mail. We keep track on the status on line but still no progress yet. I suppose I have to wait for another month or two.
