F1/F4 dual petition question

Hi everyone,

Here is my case timeline:
In Nov-2003, my sister filed a petition for my parents and me and it was approved in June 2004. Since I "aged out" at that time, I could not immigrate to US with my parents.
In 2008, my father filed petition for me in FB2B category when he was a green-card holder.
In 2010, he upgraded my file to FB1 when he became US citizen (I was unmarried then).
In 2013, I got married.
So I have 2 FB approved petitions (FB4 and FB1).

My questions are:
1. Neither of my petitions FB4/FB1 have been updated to reflect my marital status yet. Do these need to be updated it now or do we have to wait till my priority date becomes current so my spouse also gets green-card along with me?
2. I have heard that priority dates can be ported from one approved FB category to other. Is it possible to port my FB4 priority date of Nov-2003 into my father's petition?

You should convert your F1 to F3 as soon as possible. Send NVC your marriage certificate and a letter requesting change of FB preference category from F1 to F3.
You should also update NVC of your marital status on F4 Petition.

Priority dates can be ported if the PETITIONER is the same person. In your case you have two different petitioner (sister and parent). Therefore it can NOT be ported.
