Parents do not have birth certificates

Hi forum members,

My parents don't have their birth certificates for the green card sponsor process. The town they were born refuses to give an acknowledgement letter. Is there a way out of this ?

I see you have filed I130 and I485 for your parents.
Can you tell me what did you do about no having Birth certificates? Did get these documents before they entered US and then applied for AOS?
