Sibling GC - Mom name differ on Birth Certificates

Hi,

I am citizen here in US and planning to apply Green Card for my brother. On birth certificate for me and my brother, mother name is a little different -
1. One have middle name while other doesn't
2. Also first name, fist letter is different

Did anyone else face this situation? What supporting document we need to send with application to cover for this name difference.

These types of discrepancies are quite common (especially with Philippine documents).

Include an affidavit explaining the differences. Try, also, to include secondary doc copies showing mom's name associated with both you and your brother, i.e., religious, medical and school documents.

A copy of your mother's marriage cert may also help.
