I-130 Approved; Can I get EAD? I am on H1B

Hi,
I am currently on an H1B. I have an approved I-130. Can I apply for an EAD now or should I wait til I get the immigrat visa and file for AOS and work permit?

You can get EAD when you file for I-485. Not just based on I-130.

Fastest way to EAD: employment based or approaved I-130?

A follow-up question please: my employer wants to sponsor me for GC. Given that my (approved) I-130 has a May 14, 2004 priority date and I am in F1 preference category, should I apply thru my employer so I can get EAD faster? I can file I-140, 485 and 765 immediately after LOC is approved, right?
