I entered the US in 2008 on an F-1 visa. In 2009 I started dating an American citizen. We got engaged in December 2011. We both visited my home (and she met my family) in January 2013 and I re-entered the US on my F-1 visa in February 2013. We got married in June 2013 and in October 2013 we applied for AOS. We had also applied for AP so we went back home in January 2014 and I entered the US using the AP (without any issues). During this entire time I have maintained F-1 status, and I am still at the same institution (I am in a PhD program). Did I unwittingly commit visa fraud at any time? I have been on the same 5-year F-1 visa all the time.
