green card for mother how long does it take

My mother will be coming to the USA this summer, once she comes I want to adjust her status and be able to get her green card while she is here, how long would it take : a couple of years or couple of month? we are from Maryland if this would help.

If you are a U.S. citizen, the process will take 6 months to 12 months, depending on workload of your processing USCIS office.

Yes, we applied in November, still waiting. I am hearing it is taking 6+ months.

This is assuming you are a citizen and are applying for your parent.
