My parents are unable to get MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE from the REGISTRAR in Mumbai, as presently they are in USA. However they have the following:
1. Two affidavits of marriage from US citizens
2. Two photographs
3. Birth Certificate of elder sister, which indicates both my parent’s
name
4. Passport of mother, which has the father’s name
5. Election card of mother, which has father’s name
6. Ration card which has my both parents name.
Do you think that the above 6 documents are enough in lieu of the MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE and I should go ahead with the filing of I-130.
Is the MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE issued by the Indian Consulate acceptable to the USCIS.?
