  • Approved I130, what next for F4 category Family Based GreenCard

    Hi All,

I have an approved I130 for F4 Category- Sibling of American Citizen. I wanted to know what are the next steps? Other than waiting for Priority Date to become current Which is probably 10-12 years away as Country is India.
Can we file I864 now or only when Priority Date is current? Also are we supposed to receive anything between now and Priority Date being current?

We have received only 2 letters so far:
    1. Acknowledgement of I130 received
    2. Approval Notice for I130.
Should there be any other communication as well?

    Thanks,
    Katey

Thanks Dhira_98 for the reply. When do we get assigned a NVC case number? Also what if the petitioner/sponsor changes his address?

NVC assigns the case number when they get the approved file from USCIS. You should get a NVC letter within 6-8 weeks after USCIS case approval notice. You can send Petitioner's change of address any time. But you should wait for beneficiary's change of address till your Priority Date is close to cutt off date.
