Hello,
I would really appreciate some light on my below question.
I recently got married to my wife who is a US citizen.
I was holding a H1-b visa which expired as of Oct 10, 2013, my company had already filed the petition for extending my visa in August, 2013. In January 2014 I received an RFE notice to which my company replied to in the first week of April, 2014. My visa has not come through yet and I am not sure how long it is still going to take.
Therefore if someone could answer my below questions it would be a lot of help.
1). What should I enter my current legal status as, as per USCIS in the I-485 form.
2). My I-94 arrival card exit date shows Oct 10, 2013. Does this affect me in any way although I am still in the US? Based on my HR's advise, she said I am still legally allowed to live and work in the US.
Thanks,
Ali.
