My husband & I filed for our family based greencard shortly after getting married. Everything went smoothly enough, our paperwork was completed, and the initial interview went well. It's been roughly a year since his conditional green card was approved, a huge victory for us.
Many changes have come about in the last year. I have applied to go back to school as an adult in a city 4 hours away from our current shared residence. I will be attending college this Fall.
Our relationship is simply NOT working. The cultural differences are too great. We could try living long distance but I already feel like there's enough strain. Plus, living separately is probably cause for suspicion, right?
I really need advice and I don't know what to do. Obviously if we divorce now he will lose his immigration benefits, right? I care about him and don't want to be selfish, but it's not a healthy situation for either of us right now...
