  • Applying green card for my mother

Hi all - I (naturalized US citizen from INDIA) am planning to apply GC for my mother, who will be coming here on B2 visa during June. I have following questions.

    a) Please let me know, if I should wait couple of months or can I file for GC in June itself?
    b) The name in the mom's passport has her married name rather than maiden name (which is in the BC). I have church issued marriage certificate as well as affidavit from my mom. My Dad is no more. Do I need to submit any other documents?
    c) The place of birth in my mom's passport is different than what is there in her BC. Would there be an issue?
    Thank you.

    a/ No need to wait
b/ Your birth certificate with your mum's name is the most important thing.
    c/ Possibly. Why the discrepancy?

Thank you for responding. My BC has My Mom's Maiden name (as shown in her BC). My Mom's passport which was recently done has her Married name. Please let me know, if this would cause any issue.
