Hello, how hard is it to apply for a green card for my mother?
I am a US citizen, my mother is from Italy. Her waver visa is expiring and the immigration 800 line said i can apply for her green card before the visa expires and she can overstay the visa no problems.
Can I apply for her green card on my own or I need a lawyer? I spoke to one who said the case is very simple but he wants to charge $1000 to fill up the forms.
