green cars fees

hi friends

my husband got visa and he is going to come in usa soon . I just heard about green card fees that we have to pay to get the plastic green card nowdays ( i didnt pay this fees as an immigrant when I came in usa ) so I dont know about it.

If so then where my husband have to pay this green card fee I mean in india or in usa and how? because I dont want delays in getting plastic green card .

Earlier Green card fee was part of immigrant visa fee. Now USCIS charges this fee separately.

This fee requirement has been in place more than a year already. Upon receipt of one's immigrant visa, there should be a note included advising of the $165 card requirement and how to pay the fee. The note will tell you that the fee has to be paid before the immigrant departs for the U.S., but that is not enforced.
