  • My husband is a US citizen but I denied the visa

Hi , I had an interview yesterday for B2 visiting visa for me and my children, I am married an African American veteran , he sent me an invitation to spend the summer with him as he will have an operation in July, he also sent me affidavit of support, a letter from his doctor to describe his health condition, but I was denied the visa and I don't understand what went wrong during the interview:
VO: your passport please, (frowning without greeting me)
Me: hello , here you are
VO: why you want to go to US?
Me: My husband is US citizen , he used to come to us 3 times a year but this time he can't because is sick and will have an operation in July
    VO: what kind of operation
Me: a lesion will be removed from his chest and abdomn
VO: how long have you been married?
    Me: 3 years
VO: has he applied for a petition for you
Me: He just started the process but hasn't applied it yet.
VO: Why he didn't apply for it when you first got married ?
Me: Because I want to remain in my country 4 more years to complete 30 years of work to get a good pension.
Vo: Unfortunately your case is not suitable for this visa category, sorry I can give you the visa then handed me the blue document 214(b)

Can anybody help by telling me what wrong I have done , I told him the truth

You "expressed intent" to eventually immigrate to the U.S., and your application for a visitor visa was interpreted as an attempt to "jumpstart" the immigration process.
