Hi everyone.
I an new here to the forum and have some questions and probably share many of your frustrations as well.
I am a norwegian citizen and married to an American citizen. We filed the I-130 papers after our marriage in August 2013. Our priority date was put to September 2013, but nothing was really sent our from the USCIS until march I think, due to them being so backed up on paperwork. We got a case # at the NVC in May 2014 and filed the DS 260 May 17 2014. After that the NVC needed some original (!) documents and everything was received June 3rd 2014.
My questions are
1. what does that priority date even mean?
2. Has anyone else been waiting for this long?
3. How long does it usually take for the NVC to schedule an interview after they have received all the papers? Will it be 30 business days or more/less?
Thanks to anyone that can answer some of these questions!
-sick of waiting, going on 10 months
