  • I-130 approved, what's next ?

    Dear all,

I have received my I-130 approval (US citizen filing for brother) recently and application date was 1st March 2010.

I would like to know what are the next step after I-130 approval and timeline involved.

What is a rough estimate of the waiting time under chargeability in other countries based on the current cut off date ?

    Appreciate your info.

    Thanks,

You are now waiting for an available quota visa slot, which may take 13 to 23 years, depending on country of your brother.

You and/or your brother should receive a letter from the National Visa Center acknowledging their receipt of the petition and advising that a visa slot is not yet available for this class.
