I have had my B2 since April 2010. My father recently filed I-130 for my over 21 brother (now 29) and myself (31) back in Oct 2010; we received RFE from USCIS this May.
I've travelled several times in the past four years, always cognizant of maintaining B2 status, leaving before the time stamped on my passport, usually 10 days to 2 weeks, longest was 2 months. I'd like to visit again for Christmas/New Year's this year, I did this last year (2013). Will the receipt of the RFE from USCIS pose a problem if I were to travel? We've sent in the documents requested but there's still a 90-day wait from their receipt before we will know status. Will travelling on my B2 cause any problem for my pending F2b petition, or vice versa?
Also, my father is considering naturalization; should he wait until our petition is complete in F2b or should he naturalize now and we change status to F1? I am currently outside of the US. Your advice is greatly appreciated.
