I am a green card holder living and working in the US, i met a lady who works in a buisness company where she visits the US often almost 2 years ago and we kind of fell in love. She's going to be coming to the US on a leave in December and i am planning to do a surprise proposal for her her and just register marriage here at city hall
. my questions are:
-Given that she has a Valid Visitor visa:
1. If she leaves the states back to her country after we register marriage here and apply for Green Card Sponsorship, can she come back before the application is done or will they cause her trouble at airport? Because i heard that processing of the application for spouse takes about a year but the whole thing can take up to 3-4 years. So show long won't she be able to re-enter the US ? one year or 3 years??
2. i have no idea when her current visa expires, but what if it expires next year (after i have already applied for a spouse sponsorship application) , will that affect her visitor visa renewal?
