I am a US citizen and my husband is a British citizen. We got married in America and made the mistake of leaving. We want to get him a green card (we've already spoken with a lawyer and we know he'd get one) but is it true that I have to go to America and he has to go back to England while the green card is processed? I will have someone sponsoring him so do I still have to be in America while the green card gets processed? Thanks!
