  • can spouse give gc interview in regional language?

Ok so I filed for my spouse's gc.. I am myself is dependent on my brother and now he comimg as a dependent on me.. which makes him dependent on my brother who also has his wife and mother dependent on him..
Ok so my question is my spouse has a problem of stuttering (when he gets conscious) . So we were thinking to use that language in which he is more confertable.
But we are scared, visa person might reject on the basis of him not giving interview in english, as if he cant give interview how he will work and earn and support himself...

May be I am thinking way too much but its the matter of my spouse

    All answers are appreciated

English fluency is not a requirement for a Green Card interview. USCIS offices will allow paid interpreters or family members to assists with translation, but I believe permission must first be obtained (not sure of protocol for last).

A Green Card applicant at the interview does not have to be fluent in English, but it is your responsibility to provide an interpreter or be there as a family member to translate. bUt you should advise USCIS in advance of the interview what the language requirement is.
