  • About IR parents visa

I want to know how much time it will take for getting a visa of USA?

    Please answer my question ...

Since a parent visa procedure is "immediate priority," the average processing time (from submittal to Embassy or Consulate interview) will be about 10 months (longer these days because of NVC slowdown).

Thank you " Ray B" for answering my question ..

If my mother apply for me after arriving USA ( I'm under 21 years of age) under F2A category how much time it will take to get a visa for me.?

I saw in the visa bulletin that the priority date for F2A category was " September 2013 " 9 months ago but now "May 2012 ".
I want to know the actual processing time time for F2A visa. I know no one can actually tell the exact time. But what is your prediction?

Please help me "Ray B "

Because of recent retrogression of specific classes of quota visa eligibility, your Priority Date will take 18 -- 24 months (to be current) after your mom petitions you.

Thank you "Ray B " for answering my question ....

In " September 2013 " it took only 7 month to get the visa but now it almost 2 years ..

Is there any possibility after 1 year the processing time of F2A visa decrease like "September 2013 " or " Current. " like "June or July 2013 "?

Please answer my question "Ray B "

From my recall, retrogression of Priority Dates does not work in reverse. Once a Priority Date is moved back, the best one can expect is a month-by-month movement towards visa slots being available for a given Priority Date.

              Thank you "Ray B "

If my mom apply for me next year under F2A category do you think I have a chance for getting a visa within 18 months? (Because now my age is 18 year 6 month after 1 year my age will be 19 year 6 month and for that I will have only 18 months left)

I know that no one can tell the exact time but what is your prediction?

Please "Ray B " answer my question ....

I have to admit that I don't fully understand the provisions of the "Child Status Protection Act, CSPA, which is supposed to protect children from "aging out" because of waits for a Priority Date visa slot. It used to be (until a few years ago) that if you turned 21 before your Priority Date became current, you were out of luck and fell into a longer visa wait. Now, however, you might go all the way to the Consulate interview, and the interviewer may have some discretion to apply to formula to decide where you qualify or not.

Your mom should submit the petition for you as soon as convenient.

As the petitioner and eventual sponsor, when your visa priority slot becomes available, your mom must have a domicile (address) in the U.S. If there is no such domicile information, your visa application can be denied, UNLESS SHE SHOWS INTENTION OF RETURNING TO THE U.S. SHORTLY BEFORE YOU OR WITH YOU.

There probably isn't any other choice but the plan you describe.

It is critical, though, that your mom maintains a U.S. address at which she can plan on receiving mail from USCIS and NVC.

                              1. If my sister do all the formalities (she lives in Queens, Newyork). Is it possible?

2.If my mom pay the re-entry fee (probably 2 years can stay outside the USA paying this fee ) then it is possible.?
