Hi All
I am happy to share my cousin & his family’s experience for their F3 Greencard interview in Mumbai today 8th Sep 2014.
My cousin’s wife(benificiary to F3) was diagnosed with breast cancer just 3 months before todays interview and she was going through her Kimo therapy sessions. She had disclosed it explicitly during her medical examination to the doctor. She had also shared her current medical reports with the medical team and they just went through it and continued with their normal routine test for US visa which is test of TB, blood and urine, xrays etc.
All of their reports were normal including my sis inlaws.
Today they had their interview and all of them were granted the visa including my sisterinlaw spite of her current medical condition as it does not get classified into contagious disease. Although my sis inlaw is doing well with her health due to the timely treatment, we were still 50-50 of her chances of getting greencard as we did not know the rules and policies of US visa aproval for people with chronic ailments (not contagious).
The visa officer did not even ask any medical related questions..apart from general questions to only my cousin (primary applicant). They were all approved (including my sis inlaw) for a greencard after the oath. Hope this helps and avoids dilemma of any individual in a similar situation. Be honest and truthful. What matters is ones health (Health is wealth !)
Good luck !
Thanks
