NVC processing

Dear sir/madam, we have received letter from NVC saying that our petition is eligible for further processing. We have established Agent for contact form D-261 and have paid AOS fee of $88. I believe our next step is to fill form D-260 but I would like to wait for my brother to come for about 2 years. Can we just NOT do anything and wait OR we don't have choice?is there any time limit that we have to do all the processing right now? Please advise us. Thank you. Lata shah.

Your next step will be a bill for $265 to pay for the immigrant visa, after which the DS-260 will be released to fill out.

So long as you maintain contact with the NVC at least once a year, the case may remain there in pending status. My advice, however, is to not take advantage of such delays and get your brother here. Once in the U.S., he can receive his Green Card, then return to finish up his business for varying time periods.
