Hello,

I'm in a strange situation right now and would love to hear your opinion on it.

I understand that whoever is granted US Citizenship can also marry and apply for a green card for his/her spouse.

Now I'm seeing an Indian guy. I had no idea he was US Citizen until very recently.
Would it be possible he could get me a green card if we married?

I keep thinking it'll never work out even if it's theoretically possible. Would they ever believe us it's a real relationship? I'm a blonde, white European girl. Is it possible to prove it's real?
Do people who decide on these things discriminate?

As long as you are genuinely getting married with real relationship, that is not a problem.

Your Green Card paperwork will be reviewed based on evidence you provide and how you both present yourselves at your interview.

Do you know what a "self-fulfilling prophecy" is? If you expect bias and discrimination, you sometimes send out signals which practically beg for such responses.

Of course there is individual bias and resulting discrimination during interviews. I've had several such experiences with couples for whom I prepared paperwork and followed their progress through the system...but their circumstances were exceptional and they probably didn't handle them well: a 30+ year difference between the American lady petitioner and her Mexican fiance and/or Filipino husband (two different couples). One got the visa, the other did not. I also assisted an 85-year old American citizen marry and immigrate a 22-year Filipino old "girl," and he had obstacles every step through the process, but got her into the U.S.

Self-fullfilling prophecy is a good point. I think I've made myself a lot of problems with visa stuff that way.

Why would you want to have your Green Card in your maiden name?

Actually, it is not that unusual, as many women prefer to remain use of their maiden names for professional reasons.

Is ok to not change the lost name

It's okay, but if my wife had wanted to keep her maiden name on all her documents, I would have been a little disturbed.
