For the last five of six years I have been in the Middle East working for a U.S firm on U.S government contracts. My child was born overseas. The consulate gave us a B1/B2 visa (which turned out to be a tourist visa? I think). My wife and I have valid U.S green cards and regularily at least each year visited the U.S.
I am now to be stationed in DC. We are coming back early Decemeber to live here for a while at the very least and hopefully indifinitely.
My child's visa is multiple and for five years. We would qualify to apply for citizenship in 1.5 years. I had an approved N470 (preservation of naturalization) for most of the time I was out.
1) What do I do with regards to my child who is on this visa? Will we have any trouble in coming here next week? How long can she stay? And once we are here how do I get her a green card if possible?
Thanks in advance.
