Family visa - F1 not moving, how long to opt-out to F2b ?

Hello,

I was wondering what is the status of your case now. Similar situation has happened with my brother's case. We did not notify NVC about petitioner became citizen and after my brother's interview he got denial letter requesting for Opt- out letter. I don't have any idea how and where to request that letter. Can you kindly let me know what's the status of your case now and how did you proceed to get the opt-out letter? I really appreciate your help.

I have thE same situation as you had before. My mom became citizen and we did not inform NVC about it. Currently I have my interview scheduled under F2b category. I am wondering if i need opt out approval letter before going to the interview ?
