Hello,
I am American citizen (born and raised) and my husband lives in Iran. We received notice that our I-130 form was accepted at the Nebraska processing center on June 2, 2014. Right now the site lists a 5 month processing time for this office. I know I might be chomping at the bit here, but I am just tired of waiting. Anyone else have paperwork in the Nebraska office in process right now? I have emailed USCIS requesting an actual status, since the date of acceptance temporarily changed online when the USCIS website updated the other day. It reflected an acceptance date of June 10 and is now back to June 2. That makes me worried - is his paperwork lost in the bustle of computerized information? I cannot get a straight answer on the phone and have not heard back from the USCIS, who I emailed 6 days ago. Any insight I can get, or how to deal with being a patient spouse, would be appreciated. I know this is just a few days behind mark but - I would love to be near my husband again!
Thank you.
