I 130 reqesting of more information

Hi All,

I am new to here and I really hope you can help me.

My Husband (USC) filed for an I 130 for me as his spouse. I am UKC.

We have been married since 2005 and have a child together who has dual nationality.

We sent the I 130 in October and recieved notice of payment 29th Oct. We filed this to the US London Embassy as we both reside in the UK.

My Husband has today received a letter from the Athens US Embassy stating they need more information about our marrage.

Why has it been sent to Athens? and why could they be asking for more information?

It does not make any sense. Are you sure it is a legitimate letter? Please contact with the US embassy in UK first and then with one in Athens to make sure it is genuine.

It came in an email from USCIS.

with the letter attached in a PDF format, as it had been scanned. It had all the correct details on the header and the main title was NOTICE OF ADDITIONAL PROCESSING REQUIREMENTS.

We sent off all that it was asking for.

we emailed the information back with a reply saying they had recieved our additional documents and we would be notified in writing once a decision had been made.

I am hoping this is a positive thing and that all will keep moving forward.
