My case is pretty funny, my father got his GC more than 25 years ago, then call my sister and myself under unmarried child, after waiting more than 10 years both close to 30, we immigrate to other countries (Canada and Australia), and got married and got kids. We both got the call after 5 years, when we already got citizenship in our respective countries, started the paperwork to be informed that we just lost our "right" as we got married, ok fine. after few years, I found that I could apply thru my step mother and half sisters, we filled up all paper work, paid fees, etc... and mailed everything to Chicago as per instructions at the time listed waiting time was around 1,5 years. Got our NOA with PD Aug/2011 pretty quick but noticed that our case was assigned to California with the worst waiting time in US, since petitioner are in Florida and we are in Toronto, why our case went to West Coast, and now more than 3 years has passed and our cases are in initial review. Is there something we can do, or is basic just sitting and wait? TIA for any feedback.
