  • Administrative Processing after approval, Amman, Jordan

Anyone here ever do an immigration visa (CR1), get the approval at the embassy, been told you had only a week to wait for the passport to return with the visa, but then went to check on the status and it said "administrative processing"? Does anyone know if this is normal? My husband needed to have a random police check (even though he already had a secret police checklike FBI-, and the regular police one was not on the embassy website until after we went-they even apologized to us) that we didn't know about, so we sent it by aramax the next day, apparantly it just arrived Sunday night around 7pm. So just curious if anyone has had experience with this! We fly on December 17th early in the morning, so I'm a bit nervous! No one told us not to get the tickets, they just said the visa would only take a week! The status was even updated today with "Administrative processing" and I really don't understand why. Is this normal? Does everyone who gets approved sill have this status for a bit on the ceac.state.gov website?

    Thanks for any help!

    Hey There,

I am on the same boat as yours. My fiance's visa was on November 24 and it was approved. But ever since we are on AP, have no clue why. But don't panic yet, because you are still under normal processing time. Please update when you visa is issued.Thank you
