hi everyone!
I am a GC holder. I filed a petition for my spouse in Jan 31st 2014 and i got the receipt number from VSC. It's been already 11 months and i haven't heard anything from them. Can anybody suggest me that how long it will take to approve my petition?

Your petition could be approved anytime, but a visa slot won't be available for your husband until at least 18 months from when you submitted the petition.

Thanks Ray B for your kind words. I called the USCIS today, they said that 'they are processing the applicant of 23rd September 2013 and you have to wait until the date
changes to my petition date(Jan 31st 2014)'. So, Does that mean that i have to wait like 4/5 months more to get my petition approved?

case transferred to CSC

Hi all,

I just got the notice from USCIS saying that my case has been transferred from VSC to CSC two weeks ago. And the processing time frame in CSC is 5 months. What does processing time frame really mean? How long will they take to approve my case now?

Please help!
