  • marriage outside of US , do I need to inform USCIS?

Hello everyone and thank you for helping me here,

Im a US citizen and I been married for 1 year now, I got married outside of USA and I have stayed outside of USA with my wife because she likes to stay at her country because she likes to be close to her family, now my question is this,

1-do I need to inform USCIS that Im married ?
2-if I don't inform USCIS will there be any problems in the future ?
3-if we decide to go to USA and live there let say 5 years from now can I just inform them at the time when i have to apply for visa?

    thank you

Once you are a U.S. citizen, USCIS has no interest in your change of marital status. You no longer have a pending U..S. residency status and do not come under purview of USCIS until you initiate a visa petition for a relative.
