  • Family based green card - Other visas

    Hi,
Can anyone please help me out? I'm planning to apply for family based green card for my sister. She is 46 years old. She is also doing Ph.D and planning to come here for work once she completes it. If she applies for different visa (work or study visa) later by herself, will her visa get approved as I would have already applied for family based green card by then?

I want to make sure I'm not impacting her career in any way thinking that I'm helping.
Please shed some light on this. Thanks in advance! Appreciate your help.

If you submit an I-130 for your sister to immigrate here, it will be at least 12 years before a visa slot will be available for her. In the meantime, any other option she has to come to the U.S. should be considered.
