Hi,
My mother (permanent Green Card) applied for my sister who is still under 18. Currently application is processing at Bangladesh Embassy and they are asking to prove my mother's domicile.
Currently she lives with me (her son) in US, she is a 50+ years old woman who doesn't work so I provided co sponsor for my sister application.
My sister went to US consulate at Dhaka 3 times since October and every time she was sent back to with "this generic domicile info page" and asked us to prove petitioner(my mom) domicile in US.
So far we have provide copy of my mom's SSN, State ID, her US health insurance card, copy of my father account verification letter (my father and mother have a joint checking bank account) and last 2 years tax return. I also provided my income and other information as part of co-sponsor. My mom did travel to Bangladesh 2 times and stayed there about 6 months each time all because she left this under aged child.
So now, US consulate at dhaka kept my sister's passport since beginning of December and haven't returned or asked us to submit any specific documents. Looks like there new process is to submit and collect passport through Simmons center at Dhaka
I do not understand what else a 50+ years old woman can provide to prove her domicile??
This is ridiculous sometimes how US consulate play with these rule. Any feedback or suggestion on how we can approach on this situation??
